We are pleased to announce that we will be helping to fund and working in partnership with Gloucestershire Schools FA to promote and encourage both boys and girls football at a competitive level. The GSFA runs county representative teams for U16/14 girls and U16 boys. These teams provide an opportunity for gifted young players to compete at a higher level, and for the most talented, access to national trials for the England Schoolboys and Schoolgirls teams.As part of this partnership all three county team team shirts will carry Luke’s name and the Trusts logo. GSFA will raise awareness of how schools can access funding for talented players that are being held back financially across Gloucestershire, Bristol and South Glos.At a time when funding for youth sports is at an all time low and girls football is becoming more popular, it’s important for us that young people still get the opportunity to excel, regardless of their backgrounds.
